Hang on. I really can’t blog.
WordPress seems to have given up on us here at Bibsey Towers. And I have been a little lethargic and apathetic in the blogging department over the last week. Preferring instead to snuggle up with the iPad to catch up on dramas, of the medical and crime thriller variety, the minute Bibsey’s head has finally met the pillow. Every time I have had a thought about writing a post I have just let that thought drift on by. Also I have been reading elsewhere in Blogland of lost blogging mojos (the bloggers’ equivalent of a libido) and was wondering if mine had gone the same way. Could it be the weather? Is it seasonal? Are we all SAD? Surely not in my case because, as you know, I live in sunny Spain.
In a bid to get back in the saddle I thought I would have a play around with making some banners and badges to pretty-up the blog and maybe get back in the groove… I did this only to find that in my absence WordPress had decided that I no longer needed access to my widgets and some of the finer operating features of my blog. Features like erm, blogging.
Isn’t it funny that as soon as a thing is taken away from you, you miss it. You want it, and can’t rest until you have it back. I WANT IT BACK! Give me back my blog!
Now you could be forgiven for thinking “What’s this then? Scotch mist?” and of course you would be right to wonder that, because, if you are still reading, this is indeed a blog post. However, we have gone back in time to a previous version of WordPress where you are allowed to write blog posts using html code. Yes, that’s right folks, CODE.
Now, Mr B, wise old gentleman of the internet that he is, thinks that this will be good for me. Erm, like when the car battery dies and I have to walk up the hill to the village, that kind of good? Well, you know what you can do with good don’t you?
Please know people, that every single paragraph break, every bolding and spot of italics on this page is entirely my own work. I have not had to rely on the Blogging html Converting Fairies for one bit of it. It has taken me forever of course, but it remains all my own work.
If you are still reading this, you will have worked out that this post is just a ‘test’, a flexing of my html muscles, and if there are images attached you can know that my joy is unbounded and my work here is done. I have conquered the code.
Wow, it’s just like being in the Matrix don’t you think? If anyone wants to believe that that is me in the latex pictured above, please do.
