¡Hola todos!
It’s been a while, so of course I may be playing to an empty hall, but you’ll hear no excuses from me. This is my blog after all and not my job.
Bibs and I have been off on a fab-u-lous three week whistle stop tour of England. Thank you to all family and friends upon whom we descended. And I’ve got a gorgeous new camera – birthday present – so have been dashing headlong into an affair with my DSLR and the English autumn. Berries and leaves and conkers and muddy puddles. Clear blue days. I love love love autumn. And I am jealously adoring of my new toy. Just don’t touch, ok?
And now we are happily back up the mountain. High on a hill, you might say, and pleased to be home.
The sun is still out but the season has definitely changed while we were away. The day is somehow brighter, clearer than when we left. The summer haze has gone from the mountain and perhaps I have a case of ‘new eyes’ after being away so long. My kitchen floor, a crazy speckled marble affair, definitely jumped up to meet me when I walked in. I had quite forgotten its busyness after the glorious acres of clean plain tile in the kitchens of London, Kent, Suffolk, Essex and Yorkshire.
Right, must get off and back into my groove. My kitchen needs me. Hell, my child, who is currently super-napping, needs me. Meanwhile here are some pics of the time we spent away.
