It has been over a week since Mañana Mama sent me some real blog love in the form of the Liebster Award. I am a new kid on the blog and as such was all the more delighted to have been included in such good company. I literally squeaked and immediately sent the link to Mr B, pink with pride. Thank you.
It is exactly because of things like the Liebster Award that you get to find some of the best writing out there. So, thank you for that too.
So, in true Liebster spirit, here is where I will spread the love, albeit a little late. I have just got back from a whirlwind visit to the UK with the little one. There was no time NO TIME. Going on tour with your babe is hard. Doing it while trying to keep up with your blog posts is even harder.
Now, as I haven’t been around long and I am only just beginning to connect with others in blogland, so my list is brief, but it packs a punch (no puff).
This Aussie Bird is a fantastic comic writer. Of course there is much more to her utterly relatable, irreverent writing than just comedy. I laugh out loud every visit and you know that we all need a bit of that. Recent fabulous posts include An interview with a vagina and the Beauty of pregnancy.
This is a warm, friendly blog written by Gemma who has a beautiful blue-eyed boy who occasionally comes bearing flowers. Her posts are often reassuring, heartwarming and funny. She also does not shy away from tackling the more serious subjects.
Now I understand that the idea behind the Liebster Award is to perhaps highlight new(er/ish) blogs, but I would like to mention Notes From Home and just say thanks for being so very friendly and offering opportunities for new bloggers to connect and when they (I) might otherwise be suffering from a terrible case of online vertigo…
And finally, I also understand that this is a kind of pay-it-forward thing, but I would like to pay it back to Mañana Mama who nominated me and would have so been on my list had I got there first. I love the atmosphere on her blog – created by beautiful photos and great writing. So, even if you can’t accept the award twice, thanks.

Now for the nitty gritty. In return for the award recipients should:
1) Create a post using the above Liebster blog image.
2) Link back to the person who nominated you to accept the award.
3) Choose and notify 3-5 of your favourite blogs who you would like to pass the award on to (ideally new or lesser-known blogs) and link to these in the post.
And now I must dash as I have just realised that the reason why the chicken is not cooking is because I only had the lower oven on.
