It seems that here in Andalucía summer starts in May and finishes in October. We are into the second week of September and the kids are going back to school. The swimming pools are closing. And the current temperature in the shade of our lovely terrace is a very comfortable 27 degrees.
I have been out of the blogging saddle for most of August because we have been busy being very hot and erm, busy. So, what better bunk-up back up onto the blogging horse than joining Older Mum in a Muddle’s seasonal meme One Week. This week, along with Older Mum and others I will be blogging about summer.
Here at Bibsey Towers, summer 2012 was the summer of potty training. I am not going to use the phrase ‘duck to water’ but I will say that Bibsey has taken great strides in bladder control over the past few months and has made me a proud and happy Mummy.The grannies have come up trumps with pretty knickers and the nappy money is being redirected happily into the buy-some-knickers-that-don’t-predate-my-child fund.
Here she is taking a road-side comfort break up in the mountains. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all had such a inspiring view to gaze out over while we wee-weed? Think of the poetry we would write, the novels we would plot, the patents we would have pending…
Will she ever forgive me for publishing this photo? Unlikely.
