I haven’t been able to stop thinking about #TeamHonk ever since they set off on Sunday for Accra, Ghana with Comic Relief to see for themselves all the #GoodWork in action. #TeamHonk is made up of three of the best loved and most intrepid bloggers in Blogland: Annie, Penny and Tanya. To celebrate 25 years of Red Nose Day they are currently visiting various projects where money has been raised by Red Nose day and has changed lives.
Picture my sheer inbox joy this morning when I received this digital postcard from one of the Three Blogeteers…
Dear Bibsey Mama,
This is Mummy Barrow with Davina, the teacher from the Virtuous Women’s Bakery nursery and a little girl who just wanted to have her photo and her chalk board’s photo taken.
Love Penny x
The Virtuous Women’s Bakery has been running for seven years and is dedicated to empowering women through economic independence within their community. A group of entrepreneurial bakers formed the bakery and now train other women in the community as well as run the nursery where women can leave their children in a safe and educative environment while they work.
