You know when you wake up the morning after the night before and think “Oh no, what have I done?”? Well, THAT.
If yesterday’s rather shouty post was the big night out where I drank too much, kissed someone I shouldn’t and then shouted ARSES at everyone on exit, this morning’s post is the walk of shame. The hungover cringe.
In case you missed yesterday’s news I, in an uncharacteristic fit of over-estimating myself (I am usually fairly good at knowing my limits), mistakenly signed up to write a blog post a day throughout April (with Sundays off).
And so today, day two of blogging through the alphabet, B is for Blog Botherer. For that is what I have become.
PLEASE DO NOT UNSUBSCRIBE. IF THE BLOG BOTHERING STARTS TO GET TO YOU, DILUTE BIBSEY BLOG POSTS WITH WATER OR OTHER CLEAR LIQUID OF YOUR CHOICE.
Why did I do it?
Last November I watched on in horror (not really) as bloggers descended into a kind of madness (hardly at all really) as they frantically pumped out daily posts for NaBloPoMo (that’s blogging every day in November to the uninitiated). However, as they arrived ragged at the finish line tired, but happy, like after a day at the beach, I couldn’t help but kind of wish I had been to the seaside too.
What’s a Blog Botherer?
Strictly speaking a Blog Botherer would be someone who goes round bothering blogs. But I am an equal opportunities botherer and so I will be bothering bloggers and blog readers (often one and the same) alike. I will be looking for easy Memes to jump on, I will go about bothering animals and folk with my camera, I will be on a constant search for blog fodder: facilitating embarrassing moments to recount, dreaming up expat outrage to vent about and generally thinking and dreaming in blog prose.
And my theme tune for The Blogging from A-Z Challenge April 2012 will be a bastardised version of Prodigy’s Fire Starter:
I’m the Blog Botherer, punking Bibsey Mama
I’m the coffee addicted, and cava conflictedI’m a Blog Botherer, tweeted Blog Botherer
You’re the Blog Botherer, tweeted Blog Botherer
I’m a Blog Botherer, tweeted Blog BothererTo fade….
See you tomorrow, when I promise I will not be writing about blogging, I will simply be blogging. My heart out. To the letter C.
