And so. I am struggling with the blog/life balance and of course life is winning hands down. And quite rightly when life has been looking a little like this…
It seems that the heat has arrived here in Southern Spain and along with it picnics, barbeques and lazy días en el campo. Today we headed out with friends, their kids and their dog to a cortijo out in the middle of nowhere with a great view of the Sierra Nevada and not another person in sight. What a great day all round and what a spectacular day for Bibsey. She had just the best time out in the field with the dog, the kids and nature, watching the dads messing around with a remote control plane. She conked out in the car on the way home and is now sleeping off her brilliant day.
As she approaches her first birthday I guess that I am getting a little misty-eyed as I realise how quickly all the birthdays will come and go. These are truly the lucky years for me and Mr B. We have this precious time with our daughter as she grows up and then we will have to let her go. Let her sweet little soul loose on the world to make her own way. I can’t wait for all of those years and also I want to hold them back.
Perhaps I am indeed starting to feel like a parent.

This was just a quickie. I have to go and wrap some birthday presents (pink plastic tat with Hello Kitty plastered all over it).
This is also part of Little Stuff”s Blog hop no. 1 on the theme ‘Happy’. Linked-up on 28 October 2011.
